Beach Diving at Ft. Lauderdale by the Sea
Ft Lauderdale by the Sea - Beach Diving - Dayo Scuba - Orlando, Florida
A few of us attempted a beach dive at Ft Pierce this month, but the visibility was just about 3 feet. Undaunted by the attempt and the extra long swim out past a wreck there, we headed to Ft Lauderdale since we  heard the VIS was excellent.  We arrived to find it so.  Great dive even though the depth is shallow.

IANTD Recreational Trimix

We are pleased to announce that we are now offering training for trimix for the recreational diver. Using trimix (Nitrogen, Oxygen & Helium) helps keep narcosis out of the dive plan to depths in the 80'/24m to 130'/40m range. To qualify for this 2 day class, you must be an Advanced Open Water and Nitrox diver.  You can take the Nitrox, Deep Diver, and/or the Advanced Nitrox class with this course also.  Course Description    Information about Trimix in general.

We also offer Open Water thru Advanced Trimix and Cave thru IANTD.

Dive Log Pages.

Joe Tucker went through the trouble to create a nice dive log insert page/form. Print multiple copies and put in your own binder. Make your own log book.  Click on this link: Dive Log Page Insert (pdf)

Buford Spring had 60'+ visibility on the 30th of April. Awesome cavern. This cavern is supposedly the 2nd largest cavern in Florida (after Wakulla Springs). This is a cavern dive and should only be dived by trained cavern or cave divers.

SDI Online Classes - In May we added the option of being about to do the Open Water Course online.  This is done only with Scuba Diving International (SDI).  We still use a CD Rom kit for PADI Open Water courses.

And added bonus to this online course is the Navy's dive table we  link to:

Faces?
Mashaille just after a diveWe put to use all the snap shots of past student's certification photos. We made a web page out of them. Check this LINK out to see over a hundred of them covering the past 3 years.  Since then, and because of digital cameras, we've been taking most of them.  Beware ladies, we like to take the pictures after a dive, when you might not be at your best appearance...
